KOGI State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Thursday received the President, Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs and the Attah Igala, HRM Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni II .
A statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to Kogi state Governor, Onogwu Muhammed, said the governor who thanked the royal father for the visit, stated that all his life’s activities have been divine.
He told the royal father that his birth was miraculous as it was unexpected in view of his mother’s age, just as his divine ascencion to power as the governor of Kogi state, which was the outcome of the training given to him.
Bello revealed that few days to her passing on, in company of his deputy visited the late matriarch, who wished them continous unity and sense of purpose of direction and urged them to maintain the tempo so as to redeem the people of Kogi state.
President Kogi state Council of Chiefs, prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of late Hajia Hauwau Oziohu Bello who also prayed to God to grant the deceased family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Atta said death is inevitable noting that every living soul must have a taste of it. He urged the governor and members of Bello’s family to take solace from the fact that Mama lived a very fulfilled life on earth.
The Atta who was accompanied by his wife, Deaconess Juliana Ameh Oboni assured the governor that the people of Kogi State will continue to rally round him at all time in his effort to make the state great.
The governor also received the parents of his deputy, Mr and Mrs Onoja who were also on condolence visit, admonished the governor to remain steadfast as his mother lived a worthy life.
The Onoja family also noted with all sense of respect how the late matriarch devoted her entire time in serving God and humanity until she was called by God.
In his response, Governor Yahaya Bello thanked the royal father and the parents of his deputy for finding time to pay a condolence visit on him over the passing of his mother.
He disclosed that everything about his life was Devine. He said his late mother gave birth to him when no one expected her of being able to give birth because of her age.
Governor Bello said his coming on board as governor of Kogi State in 2015 was also Devine noting that her late mother taught him all the good qualities he has demonstrated since his birth.
While thanking them for their condolence visit the Governor said his late mother also admonished her siblings to always be patient and to equally be dogged and brave in pursuit of any noble cause.
He prayed for long live for the mother of his deputy Mrs Elizabeth Onoja (Iye Abu Che).
