Why We Want Barr. Tanko Back’ – Coalition Of Kogi LG Youths For Good Governance

An independent group known as Barr. Tanko Grassroot Project has thrown its weight behind the chairmanship aspiration of the Kogi, Kotonkarfe LGC Administrator, Hon. (Barr.) Chief Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku in the forthcoming council election in the State.


Addressing the delegation from 12 electoral wards on Friday, November 29, 2019, the group said the Administrator had performed beyond expectation despite not elected as executive and hereby deserves another opportunity in order consolidate on already achieved physical gains.

Reeling out some of the achievements of the council boss, leader of the group, Hon Abubakar Isah said the Administrator has performed in the areas of agriculture, youth & Women empowerment, sustainable peace and security, infrastructure development and many more.

In his words, “This care taker administration has recorded more convictions than any other previous administration.


Its agriculture programmes have resulted in good productions of crop through prompt distribution of fertilizer, seedlings and chemicals.

On Education, the administration ensured that all schools in the council get maximum attention through building or rehabilitations in that instances.


On Health Matter, Barr. Tanko has built a clinic, residential for nurses, ensured massive road rehabilitation and lots more.

On Empowerment, He was able to share motorcycles to party faithful and some youths across the council.


It baffles us when people claim that they have not seen the achievements of the present administration.’


The convener said Barr. Tanko had done well in spite of the security challenges in the council.



“We do not see anyone that could have achieved better under the circumstances that the present administration operates. The Administrator has done well and can do better.


Barr. Tanko has succeeded in putting the economy, peace and development on a sound footing. It is in our best interest to allow Tanko’s transformation agenda to continue.”


He expressed regret that some desperate politicians were using the Social Media as a tool to discredit or launch campaign of columny against a man whose God has blessed.


According to him, some politicians condemn Tanko administration because he refused to share public money with them.


“The Administrator is fighting a good war in spite of distractions and detractors. We decided to work for his chairmanship aspiration for continuity of his agenda for Kogi LG.


“In view of his numerous achievements, we will do our best to ensure success for him in the forthcoming council poll.


“We are going to the grassroots for his council aspiration. We are going to engage the traders, artisans and religious leaders to the least person in Kogi LG. It is going to be an aggressive campaign, because we can’t accept someone else to disrupt his good work.”


Meanwhile another women group, led by one Mrs Aishat Gegu, who noted that the transformation agenda had truly transformed the council, was confident that Tanko would carry the day.


Also part of the team was a famous Egbura musicians, who was also at his residence has promised to use their popularity to garner votes for the Administrator when the time come.
