In 1993, shortly after her divorce, Oniga began her acting career.
She was born in the Delta State town of Eku.
She married a Yoruba guy, but the marriage ended after she claimed her husband and father of her children had been bewitched by another lady.
Out of Bounds, Owo Blow, The Wedding Party, 30 Days in Atlanta, and Power of Sin are some of her best-known works.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented her with an apartment in Ikorodu in appreciation of her contribution to Nigerian theatre.
