Dr. Mujtaba Abubakar, President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has stated that more industrialists like Aliko Dangote are needed for Nigeria’s economy to grow rapidly.
The President told reporters at the Abuja International Trade Fair that Mr. Dangote’s and his firms’ contributions to the development of the Nigerian economy cannot be measured.
The 16th Abuja International Trade Fair has Dangote as one of its primary sponsors.
Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Cement, NASCON (Salt and Seasoning), and Dangote Fertilizer are among the Dangote Group companies that are attending the Trade Fair.
“Dangote is one of Africa’s most powerful business conglomerates. Our relationship with them is very important to us. “The Dangote pavilion is the largest at this Trade Fair,” he stated.
The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and the Dangote Group, according to Dr. Mujtaba, share a mutual interest in the development of Nigeria’s commerce and industrialization.
“Light attracts light,” he continued. The Dangote Group is expanding, as is the Abuja Chamber of Commerce.”
This year’s topic, he said, is trade liberalization in Africa as entrenched in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA), adding that Nigeria, as Africa’s superpower, must leverage its advantages and produce local items for export to other African countries.

He said other African and Asian countries are also participating.
A statement from the Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer Anthony Chiejina said the Trade Fair offers Nigerians the opportunity to patronize the newly introduced Dangote Fertilizer and other innovative products of the company.
The statement said the participation of the Group was part of the strategic move to grow market share and expand customer reach.
The Dangote Group holds its Special Day on Wednesday October 6, 2021.
